Craig Warwick

Craig Warwick was born in Lancashire studied fine art and graphic design at the Royal Academy, West of England College of Art in Bristol.

Craig’s paintings contain mixed media – for faces his sensitive style employs watercolour and gouache, but for the hard, reflective character of racing cars he shades with air brush – Murray Walker, who recently retired from the BBC, is one of his greatest admirers.

To celebrate "Murray Walker – 50 Years and More" in the world of motor racing, Craig was commissioned to do a painting which was presented by Damon Hill to Murray Walker from his friends at ITV at the British Grand Prix, Silverstone in July 1998.

Other commissions have been accepted from Ferrari UK, who in 2000 "Celebrated 40 Years of Maranello Concessionaires" and commissioned Craig Warwick to paint a magnificent original featuring "The Colonel’s Ferraris” which formed the main feature of the Exhibition of Art at "The Air Gallery”, London W1 in November 2000.

In 2001, Maserati UK commissioned Craig to paint two montages celebrating "75 Years of Maserati". The Maserati racing history has been published by Planners International Events, on behalf of Maserati UK, as a limited edition print celebrating the racing history of Maserati. The Maserati road history has been published, on behalf of Maserati UK, as a superb poster. Details can be found on Prints and Posters page.
